About Ana

 Ana Franklin began her law enforcement career as a Reserve Officer in Limestone County, working under the direction of Sheriff Mike Blakely. She eventually trained and handled the K-9 Narcotics, Explosives, and Search and Rescue Dog for Limestone County Sheriff's Office.

Ana graduated from the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Acadamy, where she received the Academic Achievement Award and was Vice President of her graduating class.

Ana came back to Morgan County under the late Sheriff John Mcbride and worked with The Sheriff"s office initially as a K-9 handler then with The Morgan County Drug Task Force where she served as an undercover narcotics / vice prostitution officer and also as Morgan Counties only Drug Endangered Child Officer. Ana has been involved with investigations involving over 300 meth lab cases.

She has worked in coordination with numerous federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. In 2005, she was assigned to both the Criminal Investigation Division as well as the Morgan County Drug Task Force. In 2007 and 2008, she lead the Sex Offender Unit investigating primarily child abuse and molestation cases and convicted sexual offenders registration violations.She has also assisted in homicide, burgulary robbery and other criminal investigations.

In 2007 Ana was named the Morgan County Law Enforcement Officer of the year. In 2008 Ana recieved The Award of Merit from The City of Falkville for her involvement in a robbery investigation.  Ana also was awarded the DEA Agent Appreciation for her involvent in a federal drug trafficking case.
